what does 'Ps' stand for related to power for auto engine?
You replace them, bulbs get dimmer as they age.I own a 1968 caddy, its running a 427 can I bolt up a 1972, 425 from a eldorado?
unfortunately, there is not an efficient way to clean them. I guess you have to go to Ebay to get a new pair.Do cars fart since they have gas?
you can take a mild rubbing compound,,the kind you use on paint,,and rub it on and buff them out,and they,ll last for months like this,i do it to mine every few months to keep them looking good ,but it does work real good ,hope this help,s.happy new years.I have used Softscrub -- it works really well on older models.

My headlights plastics lens covers on my '92 325i were beginning to lookplain ugly. I tried using Mequires plastic lens cleaner and polish which
did improve the appearance quite a bit. However, the lens cover were so
badly pitted and beaten that 3 days later they looked just as bad as
before. I had begun to look at replacing the lens, with either the new
european ellipsoid headlamps at 450.00 or new replacement for 200.00.
Well I decided to try and clean them one last time before buying new.
Based on info from the digest archives, i went to the local Pepboys and
bought some 3M 1000 grit Auto-Pak Wetordry Finishing Paper and BlueMagic
Liquid Metal Polish ( in lieu of Mequires).
I first sanded the lens well on the car, about 20 minutes each. Wipe
with a clean cloth. Applied BlueMagic metal polish ( don't inhale this
stuff, its stronger than Mequires!). Follow bottle direction and presto!
Lens look almost like new. Real happy with results and savings on new
headlights. Total cost for sandpaper and metal polish 8.00

Soap and water does a good job.But if you want a brighter light you can buy a brighter bulbs at any car parts house.I believe that some company makes a polishing compound for composite headlamps. You might ask at your local auto parts store or search the web for something.

They're not dull or faded, the plastic has reacted to the sun. This happens with certain types of cars and sometimes the same things happen to the plastic windows for fabric topped cars. Unfortunately there is no way to clean this look, the only thing you can do is replace them with a better plastic so it doesn't happen again, or if you are just now beginning to notice it occurring then keep the car out of the sun whenever possible.More Questions & Answers ...
