You better take it to a shopYou should get an owners manual, or some way verify that this red cap you mention is indeed for transmission fluid. Make sure you use the corrrect type fluid and DO NOT OVER FILL.

that red cap is just a fill hole. It is not supposed to be used as a check point. There is a 15mm plug about half way down the tranny on the back side. You need to have the car perfectly level and take the plug out very slowly. If tranny fluid starts to seep out it is good if it does not come out then the fluid is low. But unless there is a leak somewhere you should never have to add tranny fluid to this car or any for that matter. The only reason the fluid gets low is if it is leaking somewhere. If you are really concerned then take it to a dealer where they are used to checking these type of dipstickless trannsmisions and they also will put it on a lift to ensure that the car is level. You are not alone either most newer cars and even some trucks are going to this sealed type of system.More Questions & Answers ...
