Beg, borrow or steal a long drill bit. Your local Harley Davidson dealer should have one, since this is a common trick for them to do, also. Take out the muffler and insert the drill bit into the open ends, drilling through the internal baffles. A few small holes (1/2 inch diameter) should get it sounding better, without making it TOO loud, and without losing ALL your back pressure.How does a Cold Air intake give a car more power.?
DO NOT MAKE HOLES IN THE EXTERNAL CASING! Your muffler will rust very quickly, and the sound is terrible - a sort of hissing/whistling sound. Also, holes in the internal baffles can't be seen from outside, so inspections won't find anything wrong unless you overdo it and make it too loud.
