Question:
The lights wont come on so its the battery or the alternator, I would guess. But which? I live in Florida so there wasnt any cold weather it just sat for 9 days. I am at work for 8 more hours and really it is distracting me as to which it is. Or maybe its something else completly?
No turnover on trying to start it up, no headlights either.
Thanks for your thoughts

my car runs smoothe when i first get goin then it starts knocking like their is no oil in it?
I would say it is your battery. Maybe you left your interior light on by mistake before you went on vacation. Usually if it is your alternator your car will be able to start but won't run. You car only uses your alternator when it is running. If you alternator doesn't work properly than your battery will be running the car and eventually you will run out of battery power and your car won't start. Get someone to give you a jumpstart. It is possible that your car might have had alternator problems before you parked it. Once someone give you a jumpstart leave the car running for a while with all the lights and radio and heater on. If it is your alternator your car won't be running for too long. What does 'low compression in #1 cylinder' mean?
Duh........Dead battery.............
Why does it take a longer time for trucks to stop?
Sounds like the battery to me. If it were the alternator, it should start but would die soon after when the battery wore down. If you know someone with a voltmeter, you should be able to check it. Also, if you take the battery to an auto parts store, they should be able to check it for you.sounds like the battery
if my car sits for more than a week the security system drains the battery.
so it may just need a charge
It's your battery. Have someone jump you :)
clean battery cables first....
