Car won't start, when I open door the fuel & temp. guage needles continuously jump until I close door?

Question:
Just one morning car wouldn't start Tried to jump start -> no go. When I connected a battery charger the guage needles went nuts again. During all these attemps & door openning thing the key was never in the ignition.

You have a short, maybe in the door switch. Pull the fuse for the overhead light and see if that helps.

You have a bad ground wire between the engine and the frame.

you have a wire touching, take the - wire off and check your starter wires. oh and check to make sure that you don't have any + positive wires any where touching
