Engine cut out when I slowed down?
The answer? Use a long extension bar and a SNAP-ON brand 18mm 'swivel socket'. The Snap-On brand was the ONLY brand that would fit and work (had the right dimensions/angles to fit in the limited space)!
I've got a speedometer problem, how do I fix ?
With one or both of the passenger-side mounts loose (bottom nuts off or hanging by a couple of threads), a floor jack can be used to raise the engine up for SOME clearance, maybe, and to get it swapped out (be sure to put a board between the jack saddle and the engine).
A swivel socket is a socket with the swivel BUILT-IN, not a seperate swivel added between the extension bar and the socket. I don't know if it would be worth the cost to you to buy one of these expensive sockets (how much future use will you get out of it?), but that is what I had found.
Why would oil be in the socket with spark plugs on a 1998 Audi A4 Quattro?
Snap-On 'traveling salesmen' in their tool-trucks usually are the only place to find them. Salesmen can be found making their rounds to various dealerships and repair shops, but you have to know what days/times they show up where, or find a phone number for one (you can ask at the shops). Some of them may know EXACTLY what tool you are needing for this job if you tell them what you need it for. This is not a new problem.
Can you put a rpm gauge from a manual tranny car into an automatic?
Tool manufacturers do change their products, though, so it COULD be there is another brand of swivel socket that might work now. Keep in mind that different brands can have different DEPTHS of the same tool available, too.
When I ran into this (about six or seven years ago) I couldn't find ANYthing else that would work decently.
OR maybe you can find someone who will let you borrow a Snap-On (or other brand?) 18mm swivel socket? THAT could be as tough/tougher than finding one of the Snap-On salesmen, though. Technicians can be VERY, VERY 'TOUCHY' about such things!
How do i get my 2006 dodge dakota to open all the doors when the driver door opens?
You would be better off to get a Repair Manual from an Auto Store.Chilton and Haynes are very good manuals.well, i'm not much of a machanic...but you could go ak a real on. you could get a manual OR go online. if you do go online, dont google...go to www.goodsearch.com. its the same as google, but for every search yo do, they donate 10 cents to a charity! *NICE!
