Question:
While driving today in the night, I noticed that the light on the LED
of the digital clock and the light of the LCD panel of the Car radio
were very dim (almost no light). The car head lights were fine. Is this
the beginning of a battery Problem or is this the beginning of an Alternator problem ? I haven't seen that scary red light yet on the
dash board. Please help ........

you might want to check the battery cables before you suspect the alternator of being the problem,,and like the other answer said,,look at the dimmer switch for the dash lights they might just be cut down some,,but if it does start giving problems,,you can take it by any auto zone,or advance auto parts, and they will check it free of charge for you ,they can tell you whether or not its the battery or the alternator on it going bad.,this way you,ll know for sure before you start spending any money on it,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.,,and have a happy new years.how much oil do i need for a mercedes benz ml320 2002?
You can try this test:Turn on your automobile's cabin light (or map light if you don't have a cabin light) and then turn on the ignition. If the map light or cabin light goes out or dark, then your battery may be close to dying. If it just slightly flickers, your battery is probably still okay. If you're still not comfortable, you can bring your automobile to the nearest service station and ask the attendant to test your battery's condition with the equipment they should have there.
