Shift Indicator Light for 04 Nissan Sentra is not working?

The light in my shift console quit working. I pounded on the console and it worked one night, then never worked again. What possible problems could it be and how can I find out how to fix it?

RPM drops and kills engine when brake. HELP!?

You should still have warranty on that unless your mileage is over. First thing is get a manual because you'll have to take apart the console area, probably a bad ground or connection at the switch.
