It depends on how long you're going to keep the car. If you want something that lasts, then no. You get what you pay for, and a paint job, unfortunately, is not cheap. Shop around carefully for such an investment.what's the problem when a 97 galant shakes when backing up?

i own a repair shop,and i have seen their paint jobs,,they look good for a while,,then they start looking dull like the don't want to shine,,they also have a problem with the paint staying on the cars,some times it just flakes right off,for no reason,,so id think about it real good before i had them do it,,good luck,i hope this help,s.

If you happen to get a good painter. and the car is preped well.some jobs turn out better without doing anything differant than normal.

Everything is relative. Relatively speaking, you get a really good paint job FOR THE MONEY at MAACO. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. If a $500.00 paint job is what you want then you really can't beat MAACO (by the way, AAMCO fixes transmissions). A QUALITY paint job is going to cost you nearly $2,000.00. A decent auto refinisher can't even buy the materials to paint your car for $500.00. Beauty cost money....how good do you want to look?Are the Catalytic Converter and Exhaust Manifold one piece on the Altima?

One difference in why the paint job is cheep i in the details. MAACO tapes off emblems, door handles, moldings etc... insted of removing them cutting the cost. Also the car is generally given a quick scuff and not all of the imperfections are repaired leaving it prone to poor adhesion. The brand of paint used and the kind of paint ( laquer, base clear...) makes a difference in the final product.More Questions & Answers ...
