Check oil, coolant, trans (if an automatic) level. Breaks all working and slack adjusters probperly adjusted. Lug nuts all tight...will be rust trails on loose ones. All wheel seels dry and not leaking. Back up alarm working if required. Headlights, turnsignals, and all marking lights working properly and are clear of dirt or mud that would make them hard to see. No airleaks. Low air light and buzzer comes on at 60psi and below. Compressor builds air in required time. Frame has no cracks, bends or signs of illegal repairs. All windows and mirrors clean and free of cracks or chips. Insurance card and registration up to date. Tire tred is legal depth. Make sure they dont have drive tires on a stearing axle. Mud flaps secure. Make shure shocks are working. You will usually see a oily residue if they are bad but not always. Make sure there are no leaks from anywhere on the truck. All guages work. Fith wheel slides if it is a slider and locks and unlocks properly. Air lines and electricle cable to trailor in good condition. glad hands are in good shape and the seals are good.Fith weel should be well greased as should every grease point ont the truck. Steering joints and U joints on axles should not have any play in them. Exhaust should not have any leaks you will see black soot where it leaks. All turbo clamps are tight. The list goes on1996 ford Ranger 2.3 4 cyl is it a zero tolerence engine?

check under hood for oil oil leake water water leaks. hoses and deltsand air compreser. tie rod ends take the stering weel shaft and one hand and wigel it back and forth to see if you have a bad tie rod end. out side cheack tires weel nuts and look 4 cracks in weels cracks in frame . check 4 lose bolts on frame springs or air bags this should get you started on the right track oh ya cheack all lights check 4 air leaks and make sure the fire ext. is good . and low air light or buzzer goses off or worksMore Questions & Answers ...
