are you able to pull on the rods going to the latch? you,re gonna have to look at the latch and try to figure which part moves to open the door. once open, it will be a whole lot easier to work on.There are two ways the door is opened by the inner and outer handles: Pull rods or cables. You'll need to look inside the door with a flashlight to see which type you have. A small mirror (about 4" square) is helpful. You may need to peel of some plastic sheeting from the door held in place by some gooey black tar. Be sure not to tear the plastic and replace it when you're done as it keeps water from the inside of the door panel.
I need a timing belt diagram, for 1998 daewoo nubira, 1.6lite 16v twin cam.?
Older American cars usually use three pull rods. One from the outer handle to the latch, one from the inner handle to the latch, and one from the door key cylinder to the latch. If the pull rod from either the inside or outside has become disconnected, just reach in there and yank the one that connects to the inside door handle forward and that should open the door.
If all the rods are connected, then the problem is in the latch mechanism itself. Again, shine a bright light in there and try to get a good look at the latch to see what's wrong with it. It may help to use a mirror to see the latch. If the latch is all closed up and there's no way to get at the guts, it's time to call a locksmith, but by all means give it your best shot first. Coat hanger wire is handy for pulling on the places where the pull rods were once connected.
Ok should i MYSELF fix the head gasket or put in a use engine?
Also look in the bottom of the inside of the door for any parts that may have fallen from the handle or latch. If a pull rod has become disconnected, you will likely find the little retainer clip in the bottom of the door.
I hope this helps.
