Question:
I have a radiator leak in my 1996 chevy beretta, and I bought Bar's Leaks for it temporarily. I looked and I know where I put my coolant, and that has a pressurized cap, and I dont have another cap for my radiator. Would I put the bar's leaks into the coolant resovoure* and then add more coolant to fill it up to the proper level? Either email me back on this thing , I am new or email me at katrinaj_23@hotmail.com. Thank you so much.

What is the milage to reach inorder to change the viscosity of engine oil?
I don't know but I can tell you this, The radiator cap sits on top of the radiator. If your car has a coolant cap you can find it by following the rubber tube located directly under the radiator cap to a plastic container with a cap on top of it. That would be considered the coolant cap. Some vehicles have them and some don't. The purpose of the extra tank is to catch any fluid that the radiator looses as the coolant expands. It is also the place you would add additional coolant. Coolant can also be added at the radiator cap. Use care when opening the radiator cap because it is under pressure and you can be burned if the car is hot. You should open it only when it is cool unless you really know what you are doing. When you add the barr's leak you should put it directly in the radiator cap hole . Read the instructions and run your engine the proper amount of time before shutting it down. Be careful the car isn't hot before you open the radiator cap.
Hope this helps

The pressurized cap is as close as you will get without taking off the top radiator hose (better). Most coolant reservoirs don't drain off the bottom, and that's where all the Barsleak is going to wind up if you put it there.More Questions & Answers ...
