Buick Park Avenue 2000?

Two night ago a drunk driver hit and totaled it while it was parked at my apt. The passenger side of the box was hit which screwed up the driver side cab corner a little (instead of a gap between door and cab now the door over laps cab by about an 1/8". The door still opens and closes fine). It would need a new box and bumper, some work on the cab and new topper.

The insurance company (Progressive) is being very pushy for me to take there deal of either $1977 or $1827+the truck.

Now the truck is worth in the vicinity of $2000. So personally, I would take the money and the truck. Remember, the $1977 represents the cost of buying a truck of equal value. It is totaled and they are selling it to you for the junk yard price more or less.

Take the truck and money. You can probably fix the truck and have some party money left over to boot.

My driver's side window won't roll back up?

From the comments of above. In your case, if the truck was totaled out, do not expect $15,000 or anything like that. All you get is what the truck is worth on the open market. Look in the paper if you have to but the blue book should get a fair price.

What is the name of the front mirror inside the car?

Insurance companies are not your friends. They are institutions specifically set up to sell you a product that is not viable. They make money for not producing anything. Any possible way that the ins. company can make the most money and pay out the very least is the path they will always take. You are absolutely right to be suspicious.

Wondering where the valve was for the air condtitioner on a 2000 Grand Am 4cyl? so i can refill it with freon?

Go online and check the Kelly Blue Book value of your
vehicle before the accident, that way you will have an
idea if Progressive is offering the right amount in
totalling your truck. I think its important for you to find out,
as some friends of mine had their brand new SUV
destroyed by a driver running a red light and Progressive
low-balled the amount for their truck, they really had to fight
to get the right amount, as what they were offered was
thousands below the blue book for a vehicle that was literally just driven 3 weeks. So trust your gut instinct and get a
valuation from a respected third party.

The seat wont go back in my mustang or camaro?

Bah on Insurance Companies! LoL! Especially if they aren't your own. Sometimes, your own insurance company is there to make you happy, while if you are not paying them the monthy dues, other insurances are in the business of making money and in turn going cheap on claims.
I would see if at all possible you could get an estimate (on their tab would be even better) and see what the damage really adds up to. I'd also check the NADA or Blue Book value of the truck. Maybe they realize that there is a lot of damage. If it would equal more than the $1827 you are obviously getting screwed. And you will either be putting extra money into your truck or buying something new(er) with only $1827. It is not your fault that your truck got totaled, and it is their job it fix it or "make-it-right".
If all else fails, get a lawyer (you can always try to get them to pay your legal fees as well). First instinct is strong, and if it just doesn't feel right then I know I wouldn't do it.

Mercedes C230 Service A?

I agree with the Blue Book recommendation. Go to KBB.com and put in all the info; for my zip code, and with things like AC, CC, PS, PB, ABS, topper and bedliner, your retail value is over $1000 more than they are offering *but* that would be the price from a dealer. I'd take the money and the truck, fix what is needed to make it safe for driving, then insure close to the state minimum (no collision or comp). I did this with a car after the insurance offered the same deal and got years of driving out of what was from then on classified as a salvage car. It can work out well for you...unless, of course, you attach much ego to the looks of your ride - "ugly" doesn't do much to draw the girls!

Sounds like a fair price for a truck that old and that many miles to me. I would take the money.
