Question:
I have blown out my left front drive shaft on my Hummer H2 two times. It breaks off the differential casing. As opposed to continually needing to replace my left front axle, can I intentially make something else in the drive train weaker. I don't know what a U-joint is, but could this be made the weakest link to break, and would it be cheaper to replace?
Answers:
Why do cars now have check engine lights that are reallly big idiot lights?
HAHAHA!! sorry but WTF did you expect you bought a H2...the most worthless POS ever built. if you want to stop breaking stuff either put smaller tires on it or start beefing up the part that keeps breaking. What is the minimum amount of voltage that must be produced to be able to store in a car battery?
What are you doing to break a drive shaft at the differential? What is a fair price to paint.?
why would you want to make an additional weak point?1995 Dodge Neon transmission sensor leaking? pleaze read details?
you drive hard i would assume so this is going to happen. military hummers are tough but the ones sold to people are basically a chevy tahoe.
This shouldn't be costing you anything if it is go to some place with some warranty on their parts. And no your truck has no U-joints you have CV-shafts. they are not replaceable with u-joints. And second why is it breaking is the truck lifted or lowered I only ask because this could be putting more stress on your drive terrain. I also believe that their are stronger shafts available for your application but be warned they will cost more and if you have a problem it will find the next weakest link and it could be costly
