Question:
She started on a 50cc single stroke automatic,to get the basic idea and function of riding.Way to slow, and I think she could handle 125cc or 150cc.But way to many on the market to choose. So looking for advice from someone who has maybe gone through the same situation. Needs to handle 180lbs to my 230lbs if I drove it.Not looking for expensive.Because I know she will go bigger and better later.Something that will get up and over hills good without worry of slowing up traffic, below the speed limits.Only country road driving will she use it for.So I would think approx.to be able to do 50mph uphill. THANKS

Safest thing for her would be like a Harley trike or something of that nature. I would hate to fall down at 60 years old it hurts enough now.Should i used a twin-turbo for my honda civic?
Well, at 50MPH, you can forget mopeds and scooters. How much is it going to cost me to get the O2 sensor replaced in my 1995 BMW 525i?
And she has to be able to lift it up if she dumps it for some reason.
My in laws are considering buying an 04 Envoy, 35k miles. What's the history of this yr. Envoy?
I would try something in the 125cc range, but don't take it on a 4 lane highway (they're too light and can get blown around if a truck passes her)
If you need the highway driving, 250cc is the minimum.
400 cc or larger is bare minimum but she'll need a motorcycle license to drive anything bigger than a 150

I have two good tires - do I put them on the front or back on a front wheel drive car and why?
i believe honda makes an auto scooter with a bigger size engine. the down fall is that they are pricey. is she and you willing to learn how to ride a regular cycle? that way, you have a lot more options, both in size and price.look for a used 125cc or 150 cc u have to explain to her how to change gears but u might want to do that so u don't spend all that money local news paper adds or local wanted paper is good then look at the 400cc scooters cause they can do it all they cost more but you can both ride together or get two of them and enjoy the ride .
My friend Rican needs help from a good mech. concerning her 98 Geo Metro?
If you want to get up and over the hills I suggest you go for at least a 250 cc. Then we are only talking about back road driving at about 40-50 mph max. You maybe could get 65 on the interstate if its flat. I used to have a yamaha majesty 400 and in the mountains , I could get it up over the hills but the big ones ...I slowed up considerably. Yamaha Zuma is nice and so is the Honda Reflex. Happy shopping !Will a 168 tooth flywheel fit in my t5 bellhousing?
You didn't mention $$$. You didn't mention crotch to ground factor. If you are rich, Suzuki makes a 650 cc scooter that will compete with anything on the road, period. Harleys look and sound cool. Anything under 350 cc is just as heavy as a 650. anything over 650 is just a monster , but not as quick. Remove it can get you in trouble, but it takes a lot of response to get you out. If she is 60, she probably doesn't want to lean over a crotch rocket. But maybe she would????More Questions & Answers ...
