When I turn the heat or defrost on in my 2001 taurus, it blows out cool air. What's wrong with it?

Question:
I recently had an antifreeze leak and had the heater tube, and the coolant tank replaced. Now even if I have the temp and the setting all the way up it just blows out cool air. Even if the car has been on for a while...cool air. My father changed the thermostat, and that didn't help. He also drained the antifreeze, and replaced it.

My car was painted the wrong color recently. I want to know how many times can a car actually be painted?

i own a repair shop, and you need to check the inside control unit on it,,this may have went out,,and it will not have any heat or anything if this is bad,,you can turn it to hot,,and it still wont let the heat come out,,try this ,,i think you,ll find this to be the problem with it,,i have replaced a lot of those since the cold weather has set in ,,but that's about all it can be,,everything else is new on it,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

battery light coming on?

When you turn it on leave it on low. it will start with cool air but in say five minutes make it higher and it should be warm. If not than there is something wrong with your car.

whats the best way to keep alloy wheels clean?

Sounds like you need a new heater core.

Any good mechanics in east northants who can get me on the road cheaply?

most likly air in the system, air in the system will heat up faster then the coolant and allow the thermostat to open before the coolant is warm enough. so the coolant running through the heater core is still "cold". Sometimes after doing a coolant flush, you have to "bleed" out the air, if you did that on your driveway, i'm guessing that there is still air in the system, and if you had it done at a shop, i'm guessing that they didn't complete the job, and now that the thermostat has been changed, it may void warranty, if it was done at a shop take it back and keep quiet on the thermostat.

how can i stop my radiator leaking, only just started, will radwell work?

check to make sure the thermostat gasket is on straight and is new it may help to damped it before reinstaling the thermostat

I have a 94 Honda Accord....my odometer only works for 100 miles.....anyone know how to fix this?

Ok first check this. Feel both heater hoses and see if it is hot. If both are hot, the the diverity valve the valve that allows the water to enter the heater is not working.
It can also be the heater is stopted up.
Here is how to see.
Feel the hoses are both hot? is just 1 hot? Check it out.
If one is hot and the other is not then the heater can be pluged.
If both are hot then the heater is getting the water and the door that allows the heat to enter the car is not working.
It can be the controll or the heater itself.
Hope this helps

how do you remove the front callipers on 2004 corsa 1.2?

sounds like an air bubble is roaming around. If after while, your heater hoses are hot to the touch, but still there is cold air, your heater core may need flushing out

my bike pulsar 150 dtsi gets switched off while riding is it because of the air blocking the petrol tank?

The heater doesnt work with the a/c ...but it's the same system... just the blower blows hot air from the engine or the heater.... either your heater doesnt work or one of your fuses is bad....
