Question:
I keep getting this code on 1996 Dakota w/3.9 V6
"P0138 O2 Sensor Circuit High Volts (Bank 1 Sensor 2)"
Does anyone have any possible causes for this? I've changed the Sensor this code refers to and still the light comes on with the same code message. What could be sending High Volts to this sensor?
Answers:
O2 Sensor Shorted To Voltage
I believe "bank 1" is the drivers side of the engine.
I know that "sensor 2" is the O2 sensor AFTER the precat
if it says O2 sensor...that means the oxygen sensor is gone..and to delete that message you have to remove the battery terminal (-) make sure to put some tape on that cable and leave the car like that for like 5 min..then replace the cable and start the car for 5-10 min..that to make the car do some refreshing to the ECU....
