I have electrical problems on my 2004 Hyundai Tiburon, what should i do?
i own a shop and from what you said about it i think the relay may be the problem with it,that relay can cause a lot of problems with those,id see if the relay helped it,i think it will also keep the fuel filter real clean on it ,other than that ,it may have a few weak glow plugs on it,that's the only other thing that will cause one to act like this, good luck i hope this helps.Have a shop test the computer in it. I had a truck do that awhile ago and the computer had a short in it. The injectors wouldnt work unless you sprayed wd40 into first then it would run. That may not be the problem with you, but it might.
wd40 is not good to use to spray in your carb to get your truck started.. probably have to rebuild your carburator.
or it could be as simple as your plugs, might need a tuneup,
timing chain could be broke..
if you've been hearing a knocking, engine might be blown up.
could be a relay, check your crankshaft positioning relay, ignition coil, fuel pump relay..
Is it a blown fuse in the car?
i thing in 96 started to have computers maybe a vapor lock.On that particular model year of 7.3L DIT, it's pretty common for the IPR o-ring to be torn. To fix this would require replacing the IPR valve at the back of the high pressure oil pump. To verify this concern would require taking the truck to the Ford dealer, or a mechanic with a scan tool that is capable of running KOEO (key on engine off), KOER (key on engine running) self tests. He would have to monitor the ICP pressure, and IPR duty cycle when the engine is warm during an attempt to start the engine. Another thing that is common to fail on those 7.3s is the CMP sensor, although I don't think this is your problem. Hope this helps.
