I have a 1995 toyota pickup and when i start driving around town in the cold weather, the windshield frosts up so bad i have to use an ice scraper on the inside! My heater works great (I have no a/c) so why does the inside fog up so bad? I can wipe it off with my hand at times, but then it all comes right back. Its a very small cab, and has only recently started doing this. any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, for all you really smart guys out here who are throwing all kinds of guesses without knowing what you are talking about. In order for the defrost to work on ANY car, the a/c compressor has to be ON or your front windshield will fog up like a smoke stack. Well, here is the deal......you don't have a/c.......there is NOTHING you can do to the truck short of putting a/c in that you can do. .......(If you don't believe me, get in a car that has a manual a/c switch. When you turn the defrost on, the compressor automatically turns on.......in some cars you can push the a/c button off with the defrost still on and guess what happens. YOUR WINDOWS FOG UP) HERE IS WHAT YOU DO IN A TRUCK WITH NO A/C..... to keep moisture from building up on the inside window you have to crack your windows down an inch. This helps more than anything. Anyone who tells you to replace anything is going to waste your money. GOOD LUCK!EPC and Check engine light problems?
Vacuum leak, or possibly a bad a/c compressor comes to mind as a couple possibilities. The compressor is used with the defroster.can a malfunctioning speedometer on a '95 ford taurus be repaired instead of new installation?

i own a repair shop,and usually if you have any heat,,it will keep it clear,,the control that sends the heated air to the windshield has gone bad on it,,and as for the moisture it will do this until you can get it fixed,,make sure it has enough anti freeze in it also,,but id say your main control unit is out on it causing you not to be able to get the defroster to work ,,good luck ,i hope this help,sHow could i take paint off rims that were painted?

The humidity is high inside your truck. Crack a window, or both, to let some fresh air in, as this will help clear the windows. Run your heater on defrost, even without the a/c compressor, as the air running across the windshield should help clear the windows. If running the defroster actually makes it worse, you may have a small leak in your heater core that is pumping moisture into the air.common problems with 1999 chevy tahoe?

I have the same problem and it only happens in the real cold weather. My AC compressor has been going so and i have no Ac either.I get frost on the inside to. I think it freezes up some. It will work then go off then go on again. I spray my AC belt with belt spray and it really helps. I hope this works for you to.Daewoo Cielo overheating, but cooling fan is working.
