My sunroof cover is off its track?

Question:
I have a 2000 Jetta, the sunroof cover is off the track to open and close. The sunroof itself is fine. I don't feel like paying for it to be fixed. Is it possible to just remove the cover?

Mine fell off the track once before i put one side in and then used a screwdriver and pried sideways on it just enough to get the other-side in.

i own a shop and if you want to drop the headliner down a little on it ,you can use a screwdriver and get it back on track,those things do that once in a while ,its no big deal if you,ll take your time with it you can get it back on track,good luck i hope this helps.
