Question:
loose caliper new pads and rotors bled system new slide pins and bushing and new caliper wont tighten even with bleeding driver side tight but passger side still loose and vibrates when applied brakes abs brakes 1995 buick regal
Answers:
Brake Caliper Rebuild see first source below.
On occasion, we can get them to come loose by taking loose the bleeder screw and prying on the piston with a big bar. They will break though.
You may need to get new calipers up front, if so, bleed the system well after fluid renewal.
New transmission or just a minor repair?
when bleeding brakes on passenger side if your getting fluid from it then you have a faulty caliber but if you are not getting fluid then you have a blockage in the line or you need to bleed it more. hope this helps.Where can I go to get my head light fixed? Will local auto repair places do it?
Sounds like something mechanically wrong not something with air in the brake system.Remove Scratches from the Windshield?
Did you try manually compressing the brake cylinder with a C-clamp?
I work at a plant that uses sulfuric acid alot?
Thank you. It sounds like the right side(new caliper) is loose and the left side is grabbing. which is making your wheel speed sensor apply the ABS(pulsing).take the wheels off and see if the pads are touching the rotor. pump the brakes(engine may have to be started, SAFETY FIRST) until they touch, (you may not have gotten all the air out of the piston) Make sure all the parts are correct, you may have to take it apart and start over.Intermittent knocking from right front tire area?
sounds like air, bleeding order, pass side first then drivers. general rule is the farthest point first.you might have to rotate the bleeder towards the top also good luckMore Questions & Answers ...
