Toyota camry 2003 SE 4cyl ...?

I own a 2003 Toyota Camry SE 4 cyl. and have had to change the same O2 sensor twice. The one located near the intake mainfold. Any ideas as to what would be causing this . to date .. 115,000 kms.

02 sensors are not good for the life of the car and it is not unusual to change or want to change in order to get good gas mileage every 60,000 miles. They are located in the exhaust system and measure the % of unburned oxygen.

Should i use synethetic motor oil or castrol gtx high-mileage motor oil in my SHO with 270,000km?

2 times in what time/mileage interval? Aftermarket or factory O2 sensor? Besides a poor quality part the only other likely cause is coolant ingestion. Has the engine been using any coolant?

Engine cranks slowly once or twice before starting?

Sounds like you just bought a crap O2 sensor.

Labor times?


It could be down to your Air/ fuel ratio's too. Be sure to buy a genuine Toyota O2 sensor this time
