I replaced the high and low beam bulbs once they became dim but the new bulbs are just as dim. Going on a roadtrip and need to be able to see at nite, any help would be great. thanks in advance.

you didn't state if the bulbs were replaced for both sides or just 1 side...let's get to the nitty-gritty... swap L & R bulbs to see if still dim, if not, probably a faulty bulb, or clean up the contacts & borrow a bright set from a friend & test the brightness (be sure to check the bulbs for compatibility, e.g., wattage, etc) if all else fails, final suspect would be the wiring contacts.

Where your headlamp assemblies gas filled? Some GM vehichles had the actual Headlamp assembly filled with an inert gas. You would know since the manual would tell you to remove the entire assembly and place it face down before removing the bulb. It sounds like you may have a possible short in the wiring. A local garage could trouble shoot it for you a lot cheaper than the dealer. Actually for driving you probably can't tell the difference. If you are tight on money, you could actually let it go. To test this set in the car and see what it is like with both lights working, then disconnect the dim light and see if you can tell the difference. Sounds to me like a ground issue. Check the wires in the harness for and wear on the insulation. Also make sure the harness is plugged in tight. There should be no movement in it.Purchasing & Programming 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid Remote?
Bad ground wire on lite unit. Wire could be loose or brocken.I'll go with a ground issue. Good luck.
