Manifold leak on Ford Explorer how to fix?

Question:
Have had the engine out and pulled down seems inlet manifold (bottom) is warped anyway to repair this? short of buying a new manifold or a second hand one! Is this a common problem?

1999 ford taurus brakes?

What year of Explorer? What engine? (4.0L OHV V6, 4.0L SOHC V6, 5.0L OHV V8) The 4.0L OHV V6s were known to have intake gasket leaks, but I haven't heard of warped intake manifolds. The 4.0L SOHC V6s have always used a plastic upper, and plastic lower intake. They were known to have vacuum leaks between the upper & lower manifolds, which would only require replacing the rubber o-ring type gaskets between the two halves to repair. If it's the 4.0L OHV, they fuel injector rail was one piece that divided the upper and lower manifolds. And yes they were known for vacuum leaks in that area too.
