Answers:
I have a 1986 Mercedes 560sl. It takes time to start. The ABS light and O2 sensor light are on?
unless really corrided or broken I would say you are all set. What are your thoughts on car restoration?
Unless your cable is seriously corroded, you may only need to clean the terminal connections. It's unusual for the cable to require replacement unless it has had excessive corrosion of the strands of wires. However frequently the cable end connecting to the battery can have resistance, and make starting difficult. Check that option first.Good luck.
if the wire is corroded (that white stuff) more than a quarter of the way to where ever it is going, also if the battery terminal connector has fallen off.
Why is my husband getting shocked when trying to start the car?
you should not need a new cable yet if its a 2000. and if you did you would be able to tell. look at the cable where it clamps on the + on the battery and it would be broke or coming loose from the post most cables last at least 20 years...More Questions & Answers ...
