on a pug 106, can u buy GTi arches and skirts and fit them on a normal front and rear bumper?

I'm sorry to say this, but on your particular vehicle there is no other way around it. Removing the cylinder heads on the engine your car is equipped with requires removing the timing cover, timing chain etc. Your engine is also an interference engine, meaning valves will hit pistons and bend, if valves go out of time. Therefore, this is NOT a job I would recommend ANYONE to attempt themselves! There are FIVE items (four cam sprockets, and one crank sprocket) that need to be timed correctly, to acheive a successful repair, failing which WILL result in a completely ruined engine. It is also EXTREMELY tight in your particular application. This may mean that some mechanics would probably do the job by dropping the entire engine, transmission and front steering and suspension as an assembly out the bottom of the vehicle to enable proper access to the cylinder head bolts for torquing. Sorry if it's not what you wanted to hear.

where is the fuel relief valve on 96 Toyota sl 5 6 cyl 4 wd?

when you check the compression, ya can add 1 tsp of gear oil thru the sparkplug hole. If it test close the other cyl. then the problems in cyl. , if it's still low, yer lucky & a headjob should fix you up.

Can you pour 'rad weld' into your water reservoir in your car?

your piston rings are not sealing close enough to the cylinder wall therefore losing compression.

when parking de car on a slight slope do i keep it in gear or do i keep it in neutral wid the hand brake pulld

You would not want to do this repair yourself it is very intensive repair.. 1700 sounds to be a very fair price.. You pay less... well you may be paying more later.
I would research the shop you take it too... Go to auto parts stores ask them what shops have a good rep or a bad rep..
Doing this repair yourself will end up costing you big in the end. I have had several customers come to me after they have taken engines apart... and it tends to run 25-50% more than if they brought it to me in the beginning...

Should I have the idler arm and ball joints replaced on my 2000 F-150.?

probably blown head. if you go the 1700 way be sure to get references especially if this is way under what others in your area estimated. also ask as to approximately how long the repair would take. i know some shops in my area get right after it and some run low on price but put your vehicle on low priority and it takes a month of Sundays to get the job done.
