Question:
I want to thank everyone who gave me advice on my transmission problem. I took your advice, went to zip lube
had the transmission serviced, but it didn't work. At least
a good try though. The transmission acted like it wanted to
jump out in the road. I broke down and went to Fred's transmission. I cringed in fear that he was going to say $2,000
dollars. Thank goodness fred was honest. It was a sensor called a mlp that recieved a signal from the tramission to
let the car know what gear it is in. Since it gave out, the car
didn't know what gear it was in. Sounds like the car is alive
don't it? Remenber the movie proteous where a machine
got so smart it took over and decieded to have a baby? But
I got away with just paying $138.00.

The 4x4 on my 1996 dodge ram 1500 is out, any idea's?
Was out in the boondocks and it quit running. Checked and rechecked everything and found the points had broken. Fortunately, it was in a place where it wasn't a lot of stress on it, but I had to figure out a way to get it secured enough to run.
Found an old bread wrapper tie in the back, burned the plastic off of it, took the wire and secured the points, installed them in the distributor and it fired up and ran until I could get to the parts store and buy a new set.
