Bent rear axle on a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am??

Question:
Last night I got stuck on a snow drift (long story). My neighbor tried to pull my car out but it was high centered and he bent what I am assuming is the axle (metal rod onto which he put the towrope). How much and how difficult to replace or repair?

i own a repair shop, and he either connected it to a tie rod end or an axle,,either way your looking at or around 200 bucks to get it all repaired,,it could actually go over this amount, but id say at least 200 to get it fixed back,,there are hooks on these cars for that purpose,,id use one of them the next time,,good luck with it,i hope this help,s.

That metal pole would most likely be a control arm. They might be pricey from dealers, but are rather easy to replace.

How do you replace a burnt out check engine light?

That's probably not the axle but the strut that keeps the axle in place. If it is, then it won't be hard to change. The price of the part, I don't know.
