My Check Engine Light just came on today and everytime I stop at a stoplight or stopsign, its shakes every couple of seconds, kinda like a heart beat, it kinda sounds like my car has the hiccups and I can feel it coming from under the hood. Its never had any problems with my car before, what do you think it is and can it be fixed without paying too much?? THANKS!

Hey Chris, Dodge Man speaks the truth. The first step is the fuel filter. What happens is sediment inside the filer will flow toward the front while braking, causing a blocked flow of gasoline into the fuel line. This is a very inexpensive ordeal. Go to a local auto parts store, a filter will run anywhere from $6.00 to $40.00, depending on the store and city. The filter will be located, most likely on the drivers’ side, just in front of the rear tire on the undercarriage. I do not claim to know this particular car, but most domestics are located where I am telling you. You might require either a 9/16 or a 5/8 wrench, if lucky, you will only have a simple clip on one side, or if unlucky you will require a compression tool. You can tell this if the fitting appears to be a pipe fits inside of a larger pipe. If this were the case, borrow a compression fitting, or if you feel confident enough try this trick, it works. Take a rolled-up piece of sturdy plastic and use this instead of a compression tool. If you like, please feel free to e-mail me and I will explain in more depth for you. This will save a lot of money, as most shops overcharge for these ten-minute repairs and they usually B.S. on whatever additional work they claim your car needs.how do you get to check the car's milage?
i own a repair shop,and it could be anything on it causing this,the first thing id do is replace the gas filter on it,,it may be getting stopped up,causing it to starve for gas,,other wise,, take it to any auto zone and have it scanned ,its free,and they can probably tell you whats making it do this,and how much it will probably cost to repair it,good luck hope this help,s.happy new years also.oil and filter for toyota matrix?
It probably is something to do with your fuel injectors. Your going to have to take it to a shop so they can put it on a tester.my fly wheels xpv is broken, thier are two propelers one of them is as powerful whats wrong?
