Why is my air bag and seat belt light staying on?

Question:
when I bought the car the belt light would shut off after putting it on and the air bag light would flash for a bit. Recently they both have been staying on for a long period of time and shutting off after maybe 45 mins + of driving. What could I do to fix this or what could be causing this? I drive a 95 caviler sedan, and I'm a delivery driver.

if the car is late model it will have seat belt pretensioners. maybe there is a problem with the wiring to the buckle it could cause both lights to come on. I don't know why the light would go out with driving. try looking under the seat for chaffing/damaged wiring.
