The Buick Century '98, Odometer?

Hi, on my dad's car in the odometer where it displays the Park, Neutral, Reverse... it doesn't display which gear its on. It used to glow then stop (a week ago) and now it doesnt even turn on. Everything else glows except that part. So does anyone know what the problem might be, or have an idea? thanks

That display is probally burnt out, I would think, if it were the switch on the tranny the display would still be on there but not read correctly.
