Question:
Was driving along yesterday and the car made a weird noise on accelerating. Checked temp gauge and its on High. Stopped car, let cool for a while and then put water in empty radiator. It started leaking out under the motor somewhere as fast as I was pouring it in. What is the problem?

Your in trouble... The best thing I can suggest is that you have it towed, not driven to a local repair shop to have the cooling system pressure tested to see where the major leak is...More than likely the thermostat has stuck closed and the radiator has either blown the plastic tank apart or a hose has burst.. possibly the water pump went out... Please don't drive the car any further till you have solved the problem or you could cause more major damage such as, head gaskets or motor failure and then we are talking bigggg bucks...I bought a used 2003 acura mdx without an owner's manual anyone knw were i can get one?

I would go to an auto parts store and buy an aluminum powder designed to pour into radiators and seal minor leaks. If that doesn't solve the issue you will need professional help.Car accident: repair shop will not replace parts?
If the water was running out that fast, check bottom Radiator Hose, it prolly busted or blew off as the pressure build. The water pump will only leak if it went bad. I would check all of your hoses first, just hope you didnt drive it too far when hot, could cause serious damage. Hope this helpsCar won't start. It's freezing out. What can I expect??
