on a 92 Pontiac Bonneville SE how would i find out if it is supercharge or not?

It doesn't exist on your particular vehicle. What is does have however, is a Transmission Range (TR) sensor. This sensor is fastened to the manual lever on the transaxle. This part is located in the engine compartment under the air inlet hose, sitting directly on the top side of the transaxle, where the shifter cable connects to the manual lever. The TR sensor is the input to the PCM to indicate transmission gear selector position. In the event the selector is placed in any other position, other than PARK, or NEUTRAL, the PCM won't supply ground to the starter relay.

Does steam cleaning a car engine damage it?

It has to be adjacent to the transmission lever - probably on the steering column.
