2000 ford escort zx2 automatic - service engine soon light is coming on. What's wrong?!?
I KNOW it will "work" is the answer. If this is regarding your previous question. Yes DPFE sensors are a VERY common failure on Ford products.Where is the best place to get 2 new tires and an alignment?
What's your question?CAN'T PROMISE THAT IT WILL FIX THE PROBLEM, BUT IT IS A GOOD CHANCE. IT'S BETTER KNOWN AS A DPFE (DIFFERENTIAL FEEDBACK PRESSURE AND EXHAUST) SENSOR. IT'S A RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE AND QUICK FIX. THOUGH IF THIS IS A PROBLEM PART THEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT SHOULD HAVE COME ON FOR AND EGR INSUFFICIENT FLOW OR CIRCUIT FAULT.
Is the "brakes" club better than the "steering wheel" club?
Ok I had this problem with the EGR valve in my Blazer. It get clogged up with pieces of carbon and it holds the valve open and it can't close. The only fix to this before was to just take it off and clean the clog out and put it back on. That would last only til it gets clogged again. You can now go to your local auto parts store and get something called a KleanScreen. It is a gasket with a screen that keeps the carbon chunks from getting into the sensor to begin with. The screen is usually under $15. The EGR Valve for my truck was about $150-$200 and replacing it does not mean the problem won't come back.More Questions & Answers ...
