K reg Rover 214 Cabriolet runs fine for 10 mins, then only runs on tick-over, will not rev?
Question - When a slice of bologna is placed on a car during a hotsummer day, it will eventually dry up. however, when trying to remove
the dried bologna from the car, the paint of the car comes off as well as
the bologna, leaving the print of the slice of bologna on the car. What is
in the bologna that has the ability to peel paint off from a car?
The "active" ingredient in bologna would be animal fat. In general, I would not think that even
hot fat, say at 80C. would be a strong enough "solvent" to soften and remove auto paint, which
is usually pretty tough. It is designed to withstand tar which is even more aggressive and
hotter, but it would depend upon the type of auto paint you are frying your bologna on.
truck stalls when it hits a large amount of water?
not if you cleaned off any residue. My vauxhall Calibra's head gasket has blown! Cost= £400! have I been robbed?
not only will it look funny, depending on how log it stays on will eventually start eating the paint because of the acidic contentyes, the acids in the bologna can actually remove the paint if left long enough. same effect from egg yolks and even bird droppings specially if they are heavy with berries.
I see and deal with these items all the time. If some has gotten on your car you need to wash and neutralize the area to prevent the chemical reaction from continuing.
Break-in damage Repairs on 92 Astra (mk 2)?
Since you do not have access to products I use as an expert....hit up a pet or fish store and get some PH 7 neutralizing chemical for a fish tank. Should just be a squirt bottle of liquid that you squirt into a fish tank to alter the PH level. PH 7 is neutral...meaning if its an acid or alkeline (+ or -), the chemical will return it to 7.0.
Car Problem Question 2... Engine Misfires, O2 errors, odd time of running rough. What's wrong?
Use water with this chemical so as to not stain the paint and wash the car good afterwards with a good car wash soap, not joy or dawn. Use double the dose required and really suds up the car and let the suds sit some, this will clean the pores of the finish.
How long can you drive on a spare tire?
Rinse good, dry and then apply wax to all spots affected, if not just go ahead and wax the entire car. Wax persay is not what you really want if the car is a 98' and up. You will want a polymer product, 3M or Meguiars are both good names to start with. Polish or Paint Sealant is what you will be looking for. The days of "wax", the old caranuba wax is over. That has no real properties to protect, clean and preserve the paints of today (98' and up) as these are not really paints, but polymer plastics.
Anyone know about the Emission Control System on Rover 400?
Never allow bird droppings, bug guts, eggs, bologna, ketchup, mustard, tree sap to sit on a car for any lenth of time, as they will cause damage or permenant staining. Even can happen in a matter of a few hours. The best defense, layers, I repeat, layers of polymer polish/wax/paint sealant.
I need a wiring diagram for a Rover 620ti.?
