Old house. I need help with a wiring problem. Two wires from outlet.Hot. Need to ad switch?

Two black wires that come outof ceiling are hot and no way to cut them on and off.My home is very old and wired diffrently than what i am used to. I want to add a switch. This seems complicated? Could someone advise me on how to do this?

how did you determine that both wires are hot/ live? what type of wiring does the house have? is it covered with vinyl, metal, or are they just all black cloth covered? call an electrician, it's safest that way. good luck.
