Your cooling fan isnt pulling enough air through the radiator, you must have a clutch fan.Thermostat may be sticking. you could also have your radiator flushed and make sure it is properly filled. When a vehicle is over heating sometimes you can keep it from breaking down by turning your heater on this will help pull heat away from your motor. Also check your water pump.
How do you compress the calipers on the rear brakes of a Ford Taurus?
Air flow through the radiator. If it's an automatic, just slip it into neutral when you're stopped, that will let the engine idle at its own pace, with no workload. If it's a manual, have your coolant checked. I hope this helps.Check the fuses. The fan runs off a fuse instead of the engine. When the engine gets warm, a sensor from the thermostat tells the fan to come on.
check the fuses...then the relay....then the wiring from to fan.....check the coolant temp sensor.....then the thermostsat as well...

It all depends on how far up the guage is going. On many cars the electric fans don't come on until about 215 F. Next time you get home with the car warmed up leave the car run til the temp gets up, open and look if the fan comes on. The fan is also supposed to run any time the AC is on. So while you have the hood up turn the air conditioner on and see if the fan runs. The water pump could be worn and not pumping as well as it should.
Where can I find a mechanic who will not charge the earth for fixing my car?
Your electric cooling fans are not kicking on. Check fuse. If fuse is not blown, your temp switch to your cooling fans could be bad. Also, check your coolant level, make sure it is full and thermostat.. But most likely it is a problem with the cooling fans.More Questions & Answers ...
