Question:
I have a 96 civic. i just got new cv boots, joints and axles, new tires and one new engine mount to replace a bad one. a few days ago i noticed a slight clicking sound when i barely touched the gas. well tonight i was driving and all of the sudden the steering wheel started shaking while on the highway. it would smooth out when i let off the gas. i pulled off the highway to go home and the steering wheel started shaking even without the gas on and the clicking was pretty pronounced on the drivers side. i know the alignment was a tad bit off, but i dont think its that. we have had an ice storm recently when i noticed the clicking originally. nothing was happening earlier when i drove, but when it just happened there was about 2-3 inches of snow on the ground. thought maybe that might be a contributing factor. any help would be much appreciated!

Heater not working in car? Please HELP!?
My car has done this in really bad weather before, it can just be that it is cold....are you sure about the warranty?
But more likely it sounds like a fuel pump issue, usually if the fuel pump has a problem then the car works fine up until 20-40 mph and then the pump has problems getting gas to the engine causing this problem. It really sounds like a common fuel pump issue to me.

Civic's were popular for poor front end parts that would give a lasting service. It sound like an idler arm is giving you trouble. Man!, I hope it doesn't give out when a car is coming toward you, or if a tree is ahead of you. Make sure there is no snow or ice in the rim, even a little bit makes a huge effect. You could even replace the other engine mount, just so the engine has even support. Also if it pulls to one side, it could either be a ceased brake calliper, or the wheel bearings are burning out. Quick test for wheel bearings, after it shakes really bad, stop and check the wheels, if any hubs are hot or smoking, then that's your culprit. I hope this helps.i ran over a curb, is my tire ok?

What You are saying, sound like Your drag link is bend or loose(only one side of rack and pinion)and affected the toe in,toe out.
It sounds like one of the joints may have been put on wrong - try going to another mechanic to have that checked. This would explain the shaking because it's pulling your wheel from the drive shaft. Hope this helps!

depends on where you feel the shaking....How do I hook up the ground wire for a 95 Honda Civic EX?
