Question:
My car seems to stall when driving down the road, almost like its not getting enough gas or something. Also, at times it will stall so badly its barely moving along, then dies. Sometimes after the car dies it doesnt start back for awhile. The plugs, plug wires, air filter and both fuel filters have been replaced. Any suggestions ??

I used to have that problem with a '79 Chrysler Lebaron and it sounds like if it's not a problem with the carb then you might need to have the altenator checked...drop your catalytic converter where it bolts to your exaust manifold and try it. if you have no more problems then your converter is pluged up and you are building to mutch back pressure. if that is the case you will need to replace the converter with a new one.

how does the block diagram for elements of machinery maintenance figured?
I had a similar problem on a VW golf, it would sometimes stall when it was rainy or humid and then took a long time to restart. Sometimes took 10-15 minutes of cranking to restart. I found the problem by letting it run and spraying different parts with a water spray bottle. My problem was a hairling crack in the voltage regulator (the module which feeds the fat wire to the center of the distributor). I replaced the part and had no problems since. Could be similar issue for you. Good luck>More Questions & Answers ...
