Dodge Minivan: Hesitates to go into Drive?

Question:
Hi everyone,
I have a 2000 Dodge Minivan that has been acting funny for the last three months. When I start it and put it into drive, it hesitates to actually drive until I give it some gas for about three or so seconds. This usually only happens when going into drive. It has happened once or twice in going into reverse, but usually it happens when I go into drive. When I go to stop it, it will occasionally kick out of Drive, and I just give it some gas and it kicks back in.
After I've hit a speed of 35 or so, it stops happening until the next time it's been parked for a while.

Is this transmission? I just checked my fluid and I don't have any leaks because it's all there.

get the trans fluid and filter changed quickly and have them or you whoever does it add a bottle of Lucas transmission fluid to help free up any sticky valves in the trans, the longer you let it go the more chance of big time damage.

i cant remove the baterry from my jaguar s type any ideas? i have removed the terminals but it wont release?

Drain the transmission fluid and put in a new filter. If that doesn't help, you have major problems coming soon.

what would cause my car to just sputter and shut off even when in motion?

You are going to need to buy a new trans. It's the sign of the trans going. At a point its going to seize up and die.
