Ok, it Windex doesn't damage brakes...?

Question:
Why do my brakes GRIND real loud and the Reverse and Drive aren't changing smoothly right after I finished washing my car. I only used car shampoo on the outside and a little Windex on the wheels. Nothing else. It's my first car and the first time I've washed it. Am I supposed to let it dry first? Plus the brakes are REALLY JERKY. Not smooth like before... Any one know?

I keep getting the message "service tire monitor" on my 05' escalade. How do i fix this problem?

Washing a car or using Windex on it will have no effect on the transmission or the brakes. Get them both checked by a mechanic immediately, and disregard anything anyone on this forum may tell you as to what is happening...

My right heel tends to be flat in the grond at impact. How can I change this?

spray a good thick coat of wd-40 on your brakes, will stop the squeak... seriously, just drive the car, hti the brakes a few times and it should stop. ya got brake dust built up in there.

Where Can I Find The Daytime Running Lamp Module On A Ford Taurus?

Sounds like you got your brake pads wet. Go down the road and apply gentle pressure the the petal for a little while to heat them up and it will dry them out.Or they'll dry out on there own after a little while.

Do you know what this wire connector is ?

I really don't know about the brakes, but windex wouldn't reach the brake pads, they're covered by the caliper. It wouldn't produce a grinding noise. Also, shifting to and from reverse and drive has nothing at all to do with the brakes, it is the transmission, which is impossible to harm by washing your car. mabye it's just a piece of junk? next time use wheel cleaner on the wheels, it makes it shine more.

Coolant leaking out of Exhaust Manifold!!!?

Sounds like you desperately need to have your brake pads changed, and thus new rotors too, since you haven't done much of anything yet. Don't stop hard.

any ideas on how to fix indicators?

Because your car has problems. It has nothing to do with washing your car. Does the rain and road sludge hurt your car? (No.) So why would a little soap and water do any damage?

You need to get it checked out. Your brakes might get touchy when they are wet.

lift kit question?

odds are your brake pads are going bad,get them changed, you may also have to have the rotors turned ( smoothed ) or possibly replaced. also have the person servicing the brakes, check out the slide pins in the calipers.the windex may have eaten the grease from them causing them to sieze. windex is only for windows and mirrors. if you need to clean your rims/wheels either use a dish soap like palmolive and a rag, or buy a commercial wheel cleaner.

Your brakes are grinding for one of two reasons: Either because they are wet, or because they are junk. If it's because they're wet, it should go away withing a few minutes of drivingon a normal dry day. If not, they are junk. Have them replaced.

Washing your car would have nothing to do with reverse and drive not changing smoothly. It probably always has and you just noticed it recently, or your tranny's gone bad. Have your vehicle checked out by a licensed mechanic.

Diagnose my car issues, multiple issues need advice.?

You soaked the brakes. Don't worry about it. They will dry after a short ride..You are better off with a WHEEL CLEANER spray for the wheels.Windex will not cut the crud..
