My 95 honda prelude is having a hard time shifting into gear this morning?

Question:
I had to push the shifter way hard to move it into gear

replace transmission or just fix problem?

the clutch pedal also seems quite loose

what should i do with old used tyres?

does anyone know a likely cause? Does my car use a hydraulic operated clutch and the cylinders are leaking?

Could be any number of things - yes it could be the clutch hydrolics, it could be the tranny, or the clutch itself.
