When you run the wires from the door post to the door make sure the hole on the post is at least 2" higher than the hole in the door - this serves two functions: 1- it leaves a loop of cable to prevent stress, and 2- water will run towards the door where it will drain and not into the doorpost which will give you a wet interior.
