Question:
Someone told me it was a sensor module in the engine. Where can I find it and can I fix it or only a mechanic? Once my car reaches 30 MPH when driving, the engine starts to races causing the battery light to come on. I would like to keep the cost of the repair to a minimum if at all possible. Thank you!!!!!

The first step is to check for any codes, this will tell you what is going on...If there are no codes, then a full engine scan is called for.A little bit of money now will save money later...

If you are mechanically inclined, you can pull the codes yourself, and possibly do the repairs yourself.
go to AutoZone if you need to save money on the code pull.
(I believe they do this)

If you are not inclined to do the work yourself, take it to a reputable shop, and ask them to do a engine scan, and see if you can get the scan for free, IF you allow them to do the work.

If you can get a code that indicates a sensor, I would reccomend buying a chilton service manual. they are fairly generic in their information, but it would cover where each sensor is located, and how to do a change....
