Question:
can anyone tell me the answer to this problem, the engine starts and runs fine sounds sweet, but once you start reving the engine(ie) 3000 rpm it starts sounding all lumpy and spluttering. local garage has said its the crankshaft sensor, is this possible as i cant see why that would effect it. many thanks wattsmorg

What are the torque specs on 99 Escort 2.0L Head Gasket & the torque sequence?
Garage is most likely right, after about 3000 rpm the ignition should advance. This used to be done by vacuum from the inlet manifold, but now its controlled by the crankshaft sensor. How often shuold i wash my car.and is simoniz a good auto washing soup?
It could be many things. id guess some bad timing or a dodgy valve although these would have some effect at low revs also. It could also be something simple like sticky air idle regulator. I wouldn't have said crankshaft sensor by your symptoms but it could be possible, its some serious diagnosis from the garage though. they must have had a good look to decide that !Where can I find a parts list for aFord 2.0 ZETEC?
