the core is behind the heater motor..yes, he could have damaged it its made of aluminum..very fragile...cost about 40 bucks or so to replace, and no more then an hours labor...yuo would have smelled antifreeze normally before they start to leak...if you didnt smell it, then I would assume he did soemthing when he fixed it..good luck !

Yes he could of damaged it!! When putting in the blower motor!! But you would have some antifreeze on the carpet of the passenger side!! Anyways it takes about a hour to a hour and a half to replace!! Good luck!!
