Difference in automotive headlamps converversion kits?
it depends on how it fell off. the mirror itself screws or bolts onto a metal piece that is glued to your windshield. If its just the mirror then slide it back onto the metal piece and and screw it down. If the metal piece came unglued from the window youll need to reglue it but dont use gorrila glue or elmers or anything like that. Im a car mechanic and have seen people glue there mirror back on with industrial glue it doesnt hold for long and essentialy makes it impossible to reglue the mirror once it falls back off. They make a glue you can buy at autozone or just about any of car parts place. Its made just for rearview mirrors. Its like $2. Its inexpensive and it works great. Just make sure you dont try to glue it back on if its like 50 degrees or lower outside or the glue usually wont hold.gorilla glue

glue or use the glue that cycle repairer usei believe it is some kind of glue... you could always try double sided tape untill you can get your hands on some glue that willl work great for it... go to the auto parts store... i promise they have some glue for it...
You can go to a shop like Advance Auto and get a kit. Make sure you get all the old glue of before you put the mirror back on. I would recommend getting the kit. I tried other glue w/ the rear view mirror in my first car. . .and everytime I parked where the sun hit the windshield the dang thing would fall back off.

My family owns a glass business and we would get people driving to our shop and asking if we could put the rear view mirror back on for them. We would do it for free in hopes that they would remember this kind gesture next time the needed a windshield. So just go to the closest glass business and have them do it. You could even make a couple of calls to ensure they will do it for free.If it completely unglued from the windshield then you can go to any auto department and get a special glue made just for this and follow instructions...Best I can do.

Everyone answered with the obvious answer.However, to make it easier, loosen the lock screw at the mounting thingie that sticks to the windshield.
Slide the mirror from the mounting thingie.
Glue the mounting thingie to the windshield.
Let the glue dry for a while.
THEN slide the mirror back onto the mounting thingie and tighten the screw a little.

Boss Man is correct, the exception to his advice is, with a water soluble marker, outline the old glue spot on the outside of the windshield before removing the old glue, so you can replace the mounting plate in the same spot as original.Once the plate is affixed and the glue is dry, you can wash off the mark on the outside.
