How much does a GSR valve replacement cost?

I took my 98' Ford Escort to Valvoline when my check engine light came on and they gave me the code PO401 EGR Flow Insufficient. They told me the EGR Valve needed to be replaced and i just wanted to know how much it costs. I was told it was only about $40.00 for the part but i need to know how much in total (parts and labor) it would run me. thanx

The part is cheap(probably between 40-70 bucks).Depending on where your egr valve is located,will make the labor price differ.They are very simple to change but depending if the egr was shoved underneath some other stuff making it harder to get too will make the labor cost go up.The labor should definately be under 80 bucks maximum.
