I'm hoping to be able to paint my old classic this coming summer. :D

the hardest part is preperation ... if the body is in good shape with no dings or dents or rust a simple good washing and wet sand should be fine ... get some good paint and u need a compressor ... and without alot of practice u will never get it looking glossy without runs :)Advice on my vauxhall corsa needed?
i suggest not doing it if you dont know how. Painting a car is a very long, laborious, and expensive process (need a paint booth, gun, air compressor, paint, primer, hardener, etc etc etc). Its also pretty dificult to get a good job done.How can you tell if a mechanic is ripping you off?
I suggest doing all of the prep work youself (the long part, but not all that hard), then sending it somewhere to be painted.
