Gmc belts?

Question:
i have a 88 GMC and i forgot to tighten to cap on my rad completely and all the rad fluid leaked out.. once i added all the rad fluid back by belt started squeeking really loud.. it sounds like it's coming more from the passengers side.. any ideas?

It is likely just wet. Antifreeze has a lubricant in it for your water pump, and this is causing the belt to slip and squeal. When it dries, it will be fine.

If it continues when dry, check your belt(s). They may need to be replaced. If you are absolutely sure your belts are in good shape and dry, you may have an idler pulley going bad.

replace the belts.you could spray them with belt dressing but in the end all that will do is buy you some time.
